Luiss is flying to Australia and Singapore to strengthen its global network
A new international mission for Luiss. After Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and the United States, the Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali is heading to Oceania and Asia. From March 21 to 30, the university named after Guido Carli will be in Australia and Singapore, with a packed schedule of events and meetings in Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney. The goal is to promote its educational model, attract new talent of Italian origin, and strengthen partnerships with institutions and universities around the world.
Indeed, the stop in Australia will be an opportunity to present the Luiss program “Diaspore - Italiani nel mondo,” which offers scholarships to young Italian expatriates. Meetings are planned with universities, high schools, businesses, public administration, civil society organizations, and local alumni to foster relationships with the large Italian-Australian community.
As the Vice-Rector for Internationalization, Raffaele Marchetti, emphasizes: “We are proud to lay the groundwork for further expanding our innovative inquiry-based education model, and we want to offer Australian students the unique opportunity to live and study in Rome—an opportunity that complements the numerous scholarships for international students already allocated for the 2024–2025 academic year. Luiss aims to support and encourage the merit of young people from around the world.”
In Singapore, too, the university aims to solidify its forward-looking vision, which has propelled it to 14th place in Political and International Studies according to the QS by Subject 2023 ranking. To further enrich its global network, Luiss aims to strengthen partnerships with local universities and the diplomatic network, including through collaboration with the new Luiss Alumni Chapter in Singapore. Inaugurated in December 2023, it is the 16th location in a network that includes over 58,000 professionals worldwide.
