Luiss Guido Carli, Roma Capitale, and the Prefecture of Rome join forces to train the new polling station presidents
Today, at Palazzo Valentini, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Luiss Guido Carli, Roma Capitale, and the Prefecture of Rome to train future polling station presidents for upcoming elections.
The agreement, signed by the Deputy Mayor of Rome, Silvia Scozzese; the Prefect of Rome, Matteo Piantedosi; and the leadership of Luiss—Rector Andrea Prencipe and Director General Giovanni Lo Storto—will allow the university’s students to enhance their academic journey and civic engagement through meaningful experiences beyond the campus. The Protocol aims to prepare young people to serve as polling station presidents in upcoming elections.
Through these hands-on experiences—genuine curricular internships that also earn them academic credits—the university’s students will be able to cultivate their sense of civic responsibility, feeling like an integral part of Rome’s institutions and the entire country.
This project further confirms the close ties between the University named after Guido Carli and the most important local and national institutions. It is an integral part of the DNA of a connected, open, and responsible university .
