At the Board of Directors meeting on June 25, the University presented its new Sustainability and Impact Report, prepared and certified according to the GRI Standards. This document highlights the value the Luiss community creates for its stakeholders and demonstrates its commitment to promoting a sustainable, inclusive, and responsible development model.

The Report serves as a transparent means of accountability, through which the University shares externally its vision and the results of its daily actions, which are focused on protecting the environment, promoting well-being, and respecting future generations.

We invest in five forms of capital to create value

The document is structured around the value creation model and the five areas in which the University invests to generate a positive impact:

  • Human capital: through education and research on sustainability, the well-being of students, faculty, and staff, as well as inclusion initiatives, scholarships, and volunteer work.
  • Social-relational capital: through partnerships focused on sustainability, inclusion, and gender equality, as well as through international networks, events, and career readiness programs.
  • Physical capital: with sustainable spaces, accessible services, and infrastructure that enhances the quality of life on campus.
  • Environmental capital: through initiatives to reduce its environmental impact, as well as carbon footprint analysis and offsetting, which earned it significant international recognition—13th place in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings.
  • Economic and financial capital: through responsible use of resources to ensure the long-term sustainability of the University’s projects.

Tangible value for our stakeholders

The value created by Luiss's activities translates into tangible benefits:

  • For students, through an educational offering that is increasingly interdisciplinary, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of the job market, with a particular focus on well-being and the promotion of equal opportunities.
  • For the internal and local community, through research, collaboration, and inclusion initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, and economic development of the area.
  • For the network, thanks to a continuously growing number of stakeholders, participation in networks and associations, the establishment of partnerships, and events, with a model that multiplies opportunities.

For every euro invested in the University’s activities, over 11 euros are generated for our stakeholders.

Toward a sustainable and shared future

The results achieved are the product of active participation by the entire Luiss community. Every daily choice, both on and off campus, contributes to building a future that is more just, sustainable, and open to opportunity. This is the direction we will continue to follow, knowing that change starts with us.
