Luiss ranks among the top 25 universities worldwide for Political and International Studies
Having climbed over 200 positions in the last 5 years, Luiss has now entered the top 100 universities worldwide in the Social Sciences and Management category of the prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022, which recognizes the best universities in individual subject areas. This year, Law and Business and Management also made it into the Top 100. The Free International University of Social Studies continues its ascent, becoming the top university in Italy and ranking 22nd globally in Political and International Studies. These results for Luiss are driven by the international reputation of its researchers and the preparation of its graduates, who are increasingly valued by employers both nationally and internationally.
“We are especially proud to be among the top 100 universities in the world for Social Sciences, the top 25 for Political Science, and to be climbing to the top positions in Italy and Europe in all other fields. Through significant and ongoing investment in innovation and internationalization, the Luiss educational model offers students the opportunity to build a toolkit rich in interdisciplinary knowledge, robust skills, methods, and languages to tackle the complex challenges of the future and make a real impact on society,” said Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe.
The university is becoming increasingly competitive in the global academic community, bolstered by its internationalization efforts with 313 partner universities in 65 countries and 57 agreements encompassing dual degrees and structured partnerships (LLM Educational Programs, Joint Degrees, QTEM Masters Network, Exchange). With over 50% of its courses taught in English and around 40 nationalities represented among its faculty, the university has also achieved excellent results in terms of graduate employment rates one year after graduation (over 90%). Furthermore, according to the latest JobPricing survey, it ranks among the universities with the best career paths, both in terms of salary growth—with a 79% increase (+6% compared to 2020)—and the proportion of graduates in managerial roles (10.7%).
Finally, Luiss Guido Carli has seen a 16% increase in applications over the past three years, with international applications rising by 35% in the last year. The University has recently opened enrollment for its first Triple Degree in collaboration with Renmin University of China in Beijing and George Washington University in Washington, D.C. This unprecedented “triple degree” in Business Administration, which brings together three different countries and managerial and institutional cultures, represents a completely new entry into the global landscape of higher education.
