Luiss secures European funding under the Hercule III program for its BETKOSOL project
Luiss has secured new European funding for the BETKOSOL project – Better Knowledge for better Solution – presented by Professor of Administrative Law Aldo Sandulli. The project is part of Hercule III, a program managed by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF).
The main objective of the research is to investigate the limitations and potential for improvement of the current EU regulatory framework for combating fraud that harms the EU’s financial interests, particularly in the social, health, and economic sectors, while considering the impact of the crisis triggered by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project aims to propose a strategy to improve Europe's long-term anti-fraud policy from a comparative perspective.
The comparative law research, which will last 18 months, is being conducted by Luiss and also involves the University of Ghent. The National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) and the Lazio Region are also collaborating on the scientific research for Italy.
