“Maps of the Future”: the web series by Acea Luiss and Corriere
“Maps of the Future,” the web series by Acea, Luiss Guido Carli, and Corriere della Sera that looks to tomorrow
Sustainability, innovation, diversity & inclusion, and water resources will be the topics addressed by “Maps of the Future,” the web series produced by Luiss in collaboration with Acea and Corriere della Sera.
“Luiss is an open, connected, and responsible university. We shape individuals, not just professionals. We are a green university in terms of environmental sustainability, positive impact, habits, and inclinations. And the partnership with Acea is moving in precisely that direction. We encourage students to develop critical thinking, acquire the skills to analyze situations and solve problems, and gain the right awareness to best position themselves in the job market, creating value for society as a whole,” said Luiss General Director Giovanni Lo Storto.
“Trying to shape the world of the future with a growing focus on sustainability is one of Luiss’s most important goals, as evidenced by our position among the 25 most sustainable universities in the world in the Green Metrics ranking, the curricula of our degree programs, and the research conducted by our centers and observatories,” said Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe. He continued: “Maps of the Future is an ambitious project that not only moves in this direction, but goes even further. In fact, together with Acea and Corriere della Sera, we're striving to support change and envision a more inclusive and sustainable society.”
Valerio Marra, President of Acea Innovation, added: “Sustainability and innovation pose a particularly significant challenge for a multi-utility like Acea. The two concepts are closely intertwined, and new models for using energy and resources must be built on these pillars. Furthermore, the future of our cities must be redesigned around these pillars, with a smart city perspective.”
The launch event was attended by: Maria Chiara Carrozza, President of the CNR; Mario Cucinella, Founder of MCA Architects and SOS School of Sustainability; Valerio Marra, President of Acea Innovation; Giovanni Lo Storto, General Director of Luiss; and Andrea Prencipe, Rector of Luiss.
Corriere della Sera correspondent and columnist Massimo Sideri, Scientific Director of RCS Academy Innovation and Master, moderated the meeting.
“Maps for the Future” is part of a broader project led by Luiss and Acea, aimed at developing initiatives and projects to foster growth and promote shared goals: environmental sustainability, renewable energy, the circular economy, digital transformation, and open innovation.
