Med-Or Foundation: the first advanced education project between Luiss Guido Carli and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University of Morocco is now underway

Rome, July 20, 2021 – The Med-Or Foundation is pleased to announce a partnership with Luiss Guido Carli University and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, with the aim of promoting cultural initiatives and strengthening cooperation in the scientific and academic fields.

Luiss Guido Carli, a prestigious Italian university with a strong international presence, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, a renowned Moroccan institution focused on political science and economics, have decided to further strengthen their ties. Their goal is to promote initiatives that breathe new life into technological innovation, higher education, cultural exchange, sustainability, and international cooperation.

The Med-Or Foundation fits perfectly into this collaboration,” explains Marco Minniti, President of the Foundation, “by building a bridge that allows ideas, programs, and projects to flow, strengthening the centuries-old ties between Italy and Morocco, and working to encourage dialogue and interaction between different worlds in an era of intense competition and significant change. With the firm belief that distance can become a tool for unity and dialogue, and that differences can be a source of mutual enrichment.”

Our university strongly supports international projects that enable young people from the Mediterranean to access advanced education programs focused on digital innovation, sustainability, and cooperation,” said Luiss Rector Andrea Prencipe. He continued, “Promoting student mobility is one of our main goals, aligning with our open and innovative educational model and a strategic plan aimed at strengthening our university's cosmopolitan character. Together with the Med-Or Foundation, Luiss aims to actively contribute to the development of a new leadership class that, upon returning to Morocco, will be able to leverage the tools, ideas, and resources of a country with great potential.”

The collaboration between the Med-Or Foundation, Luiss, and Mohammed VI Polytechnic University takes shape through the award of scholarships to fund a two-year master’s degree program—including room and board—at the University named after Guido Carli. These scholarships are intended for promising young students from Morocco who are eager to join a new, positive energy hub that combines excellence and expertise, fostering full integration between industry and academia, enhancing the know-how of the most dynamic segments of the population, and helping to shape the professionals of tomorrow. An investment in cooperation between countries and in training the future leaders of the Mediterranean region.
