Neil Lawrence, Professor of Machine Learning at Cambridge, joins the Luiss academic community
Luiss Rector Paolo Boccardelli welcomed, into the Luiss academic community, Neil Lawrence, DeepMind Professor of Machine Learning at the University of Cambridge where he leads the university-wide initiative on Artificial Intelligence, AI@Cam.
Professor Lawrence joins Luiss as a Research Affiliate and Visiting Professor, bringing to the University his internationally recognised expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, to enhance teaching and research activities and to strengthen collaboration between academia and the professional world on the strategic challenges, shaping the future of innovation.
With over 20 years of experience in the field, he is also Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Trent AI. Neil Lawrence previously served as Director of Machine Learning at Amazon and he is the author of The Atomic Human: What Makes Us Unique in the Age of AI, a widely recognised reference in the contemporary debate on the societal impact of artificial intelligence.
