During the event “ Sustainability and Ethics in Financial Investments,” organized in collaboration with UniCredit and the Luiss DREAM Research Center – Law and Rules for Europe, Administration, and Markets, the Luiss School of Law unveiled the latest edition of its advanced course on the Third Sector. This course is part of the broader training program on Sustainability, Business, and Markets. The initiatives are aimed at managers, practitioners, and consultants in the third sector, as well as business professionals in the for-profit sectors. They will be delivered in an Executive format, with lessons concentrated on weekends and employing a multidisciplinary, experiential, and interactive approach.

Next, Monsignor Nunzio Galantino, President of APSA – the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See, delivered a presentation. Finally, Gian Domenico Mosco, Director of Luiss DREAM and of the courses on the Third Sector and Sustainability, coordinated a roundtable discussion on “Business Growth and Sustainable Finance. During the event, certificates of participation were awarded for the 2022 edition of the Course on the Third Sector.
“UniCredit,” stated Roberto Fiorini, Regional Manager for Central Italy at UniCredit Italia, “is deeply committed to supporting the third sector and all social and sustainable activities. This initiative further confirms our commitment to social enterprises and to sustainability issues in general. In particular, Rome is home to over 70% of the main religious organizations and 40% of the top non-profit organizations. We address the needs of this “social world” through a dedicated non-profit agency, which has recently been joined by a specialized desk for this area. At UniCredit, we believe our social responsibility extends far beyond financing. This drives us to engage more and more with the Third Sector, a sector that is growing in importance across the country and in our region. It has expanded significantly over the years and can create significant job opportunities. However, it also needs properly trained professionals to help social enterprises seize the new opportunities that lie ahead.
Gian Domenico Mosco – Director of the Course on “The Third Sector. Business and Sustainability” and the Luiss DREAM research center – “ emphasized the now central importance of ESG factors in business operations to protect the environment and meet social and employment needs. In particular, it’s crucial to clarify the relationship between sustainability and ethics in financial investments, and to lay the groundwork for a transition in finance and the economy at large that helps companies grow and innovate in a way that fits their size and business structure. In this context, it’s worth highlighting the value of training sustainability professionals, including for the third sector, with the aim of developing highly specialized individuals.
