Saipem and Luiss join forces for research and training on the future of energy

Milan, July 8, 2025Saipem and Luiss Guido Carli University have signed a three-year collaboration agreement to promote joint initiatives in research, education, and helping young people enter the workforce. The agreement was announced in Rome, on the Luiss campus in Viale Pola, during a meeting between the University’s Rector, Paolo Boccardelli; Saipem’s President, Elisabetta Serafin; and Massimiliano Branchi, Saipem’s Chief People, HSEQ, and Sustainability Officer. 


The agreement aims to strengthen the connection between academia and the business world, with a particular focus on issues related to the future of energy, sustainable development, and the job market. In fact, there are plans for joint research projects, workshops, visits, and internships offered by Saipem to Luiss students, allowing them to gain initial high-level professional experience. 


The agreement also includes direct involvement from the company’s professionals, who will provide testimonials and deliver targeted talks within the academic setting. Additionally, Saipem employees will have the opportunity to participate in advanced training courses offered by the Luiss Schools and the Luiss Business School
