Students abroad: Information on the novel coronavirus
In light of the latest developments regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus, and in addition to the information released in recent weeks, the University is once again drawing the attention of students abroad to some important rules of conduct.
It is clear that in some countries, COVID-19 has not reached levels of spread that require measures as restrictive as those in place in Italy. However, Luiss recommends that you immediately adopt certain behaviors, such as:
- avoid going to nightclubs, gyms, pubs, cinemas, theaters, and other gathering places;
- avoid handshakes and hugs until this emergency is over;
- wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
- avoid close contact by maintaining a distance of at least one meter;
- avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands, and cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissues when you sneeze or cough.
If you experience flu-like symptoms, stay home and contact your local healthcare provider instead of going to the emergency room.
Luiss is closely monitoring the virus's development in all partner university countries for international study experiences and has set up a service to support affected students and their families.
