Instructional goals
The aim of this course is to transform students into multimedia reporters and storytellers, able to write, photograph, film, broadcast live Internet, manage social accounts with professionalism. The students will have to develop some skills of traditional journalism. They will have to understand, for example, when an event or a statement represents news. At the same time, subscribers will need to understand that hardware tools (such as smartphones, cameras and camcorders), mobile phone and computer applications, free and paid software represent a toolbox without which journalistic storytelling becomes impossible. The Course will make use of continuous field exercises inspired by the real work of the journalist, especially the political and economic one. The Course will allow participants to create podcasts using the most successful microphones and mixers in the classroom.
Prerequisites

Intended learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding. The instructor uses approximately 200 slides for each lesson with the goal of imparting analytical and in-depth knowledge to students on all aspects of multimedia journalism.

Another student will summarize the teacher's lecture in one minute. During each of his or her remarks, the student will be asked to express himself or herself with the clarity and summarizing skills of a journalist.

Teaching Methods
The instructor will organize numerous classroom exercises. For example, students will take part in a press conference as if they were real reporters. They will be able to understand how they should behave in that context and what strategy they should put in place. At the same time, they will become familiar with the tools needed to photograph, film, and broadcast the event live via the Internet. Students will contribute to the creation of a podcast that will then be posted on the www.lezionigiornalismo.it website.
Assessment Method
Students will be required to pass an oral examination and answer at least seven questions related to the topics presented by the instructor during his or her course. Eligibility will be granted to those enrolled who have not exceeded the three-absence limit.
Thesis assignment criteria
Each student will be required to write at least one article on the Lab's website (www.elettrogadget.it). The article must be accompanied by a title, at least one photo, graphics, at least one video, tags, and hyperlinks to other articles on the site

Arthur Schopenhauer said the writer is an architect. He never improvises. On the contrary, before he writes, he realizes the architectural design of his writing. This rule also applies to the journalistic article, which requires strong logical connections between its parts. The article must also place the most important news in the initial parts, according to the principle of hierarchy. Cicero: you need to know in depth the theme you want to write about. Aristotle: how to narrate in seductive forms.

Applications that allow you to photograph and take dozens of shots per minute. Applications that allow you to shoot and broadcast live video. Week 3 Contenuto sessioni on line e on campus
The press conference is a regular appointment for the journalist who deals with politics, economics, crime news, shows. In this context, the journalist must decide his strategy and, in particular, where to sit, what questions to ask, how to react to his colleagues' questions. But at the same time, the journalist must be able to improvise when the interviewee offers unexpected news.
Week 5 Contenuto sessioni on line e on campus
The interview is a very risky kind of article, especially for the political journalist. Members of Parlament, protected by immunity, are used to make very strong accusations against their opponents. The journalist has a duty to report everything the interviewee tells him, but he cannot also act as a sounding board for untrue or exaggerated accusations, on pain of a conviction for defamation.
Week 6 Contenuto sessioni on line e on campus

The political and economic journalist must find, analyse, interpret numbers and data. This activity is so important that a genre has established itself under the name of data journalism. Week 8 Contenuto sessioni on line e on campus
Many politicians are active and concrete. Many politicians are lazy and ineffective. The journalist tries to measure their productivity by using certain indicators, such as attendance at the work of the Parlment and committees, the bills they have table and the amendments they have tabled. But it is not easy to develop an unassailable methodology.
