Amid escalating global tensions, Europe stands at a historic turning point. Russia’s expanding influence on Europe’s borders has heightened security concerns, while high-stakes elections and political shifts worldwide contribute to a sense of unease. At this pivotal moment, the choices made now will resonate for decades to come, shaping not only the continent's security but also the global balance of power and democracy. The Black Sea and Mediterranean regions lie at the heart of this geopolitical complexity, where diverse military, economic, and legal interests converge and clash among coastal states. Here, nations are striving to achieve conflicting objectives, often resulting in policies that appear inconsistent and erratic. This volatile environment, marked by rising risks and fierce competition, calls for a deeper, strategic understanding of the forces at play.
