Innovation Procurement: Balancing Open Innovation and Mission-Oriented Innovation
Innovation public procurement (IPP) holds immense potential for innovation policies. Notwithstanding its potential for economic growth and development, administrations across Europe continue to implement IPP in a limited or undervalued manner, despite scholars’ claims that this set of tools is more effective in supporting the enterprise ecosystem than regular procurement. Why is this potential still untapped in the EU and in Italy?
This two-part event aims to stimulate discussion and foster the development of innovative tools. The morning session will be conducted in English at the Casa delle tecnologie emergenti in Rome, Tiburtina Station, Commercial Gallery, 2nd Floor, opposite the signs for Platform 17. The afternoon session will be held in Italian in the Giovanni Nocco Classroom on the Luiss Campus at Via Parenzo 11, Rome.
