Two new ERC Grants at Luiss
Luiss is the Host Institution for two new ERC Grants, projects of excellence in scientific research with international significance.
Professor Emilio Calvano has been awarded an ERC Advanced Grant for his research project “AI-COMP,” which explores the application of Artificial Intelligence to market environments and their impact on competition. Professor Luigi Pascali has been awarded the ERC Consolidator Grant for the project “ROOTS - Unearthing the roots of global inequality.” In collaboration with the Universidad Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), the project aims to offer a new perspective on the origins of social inequality by investigating the factors that have influenced the development of human society.
The European Research Council (ERC) is the European Union’s body that recognizes top researchers in Europe, of any age and nationality, through competitive funding that enables them to conduct cutting-edge research in EU member states or associated countries.
Securing funding for these five-year projects marks a significant milestone for our University as the Host Institution for the Grants.
