Individual courses

Individual courses

EU and non-EU students, regardless of where they reside, may be admitted to one or more university courses offered at Luiss Guido Carli, subject to the number of places available each academic year. Non-EU students residing abroad must comply with current ministerial regulations when enrolling in individual courses.

Individual courses are also open to holders of bachelor’s, master’s, and single-cycle master’s degrees, subject to the number of places available each academic year. This applies to those who need to attend courses and pass exams in subjects not included in the curricula for their degrees but which, under current regulations, are required for admission to public competitions or for entry into postgraduate schools.

Courses can run for a full year or a single semester. For the 2025–2026 academic year:

  •  First-semester classes will begin on September 8, 2025, and end on December 6, 2025.
  • Classes for the second semester will begin on February 2, 2026, and end on May 9, 2026.

The enrollment request must be submitted well in advance and, in any case, no later than one week before the start of each semester for the courses you intend to take.

Please note: If you are enrolling in a course offered in the first year of the 2025/2026 academic year, visit the page dedicated to the Undergraduate School’s Educational Model. There, you will find information on how teaching activities are conducted, the rules for taking exams, and the educational approach that sets our university apart.

The documents to be emailed to ammissione@luiss.it are:

  • the enrollment application addressed to the Rector, specifying the course(s) the student has chosen;
  • a copy of your passport
  • a certificate confirming the student's academic qualification and the exams taken:
    For students enrolled at institutions abroad, the certificate must be issued by the home university and written in English. Only if an English-language certificate cannot be issued should the original document from the home university be translated and legalized by the relevant diplomatic or consular authorities.
  • Two photographs in JPG format, one of which—only for non-EU students—must be authenticated by the competent Italian diplomatic or consular authorities, indicating the date and place of birth, citizenship, and residence.

Once the documentation has been verified, the student will receive the credentials to pay:

  • the €16 stamp duty;
  • the registration fee.

To enroll in one or more individual courses, you must pay  1,600.00 for each active course, plus the stamp duty fee for the enrollment application.

By enrolling in one or more individual courses, you can obtain a certificate of completed studies and, if you have taken the exam, a certificate of the grade you received.

However, individual courses cannot be evaluated in any way for potential recognition upon enrollment in a degree program (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
