Programme features | The Double Degree in Global Management and Chinese Politics, offered jointly by Luiss and Renmin University of China, is a demanding two-year programme taught entirely in English. The programme is aimed at students currently enrolled in the first year of the Master's Degree in Global Management and Politics at Luiss. Stemming from the interdisciplinary approach of the Master’s Degree in Global Management and Politics, this programme provides a comprehensive introduction to the politics, economy, foreign policy, society, and culture of contemporary China. Participants in the programme study governance and international relations at one of Asia's leading universities, while living in the Chinese capital. During the first year at Luiss, the curriculum will focus on developing a deeper understanding of the economic, legal, and managerial foundations of global management. During their second year in Beijing, students will have the opportunity to visit and learn directly from Chinese companies, think tanks, research institutes, and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as part of the activities included in the programme. |

Who is eligible to apply? | The call for applications for the 2027–2028 mobility year is aimed at students enrolled in the first year of Luiss’s Master’s Degree in Global Management and Politics during the 2026–2027 academic year. |
Fees and charges | Luiss students will pay their tuition fees to Luiss and will therefore be exempt from paying tuition fees to Renmin University. |
Qualifications awarded | Upon completing the programme, students will be awarded a Master's Degree in Global Management and Politics from Luiss and a Master's Degree in Law, specialising in International Relations, from Renmin University. To obtain the Double Degree, participants must comply with the rules and conditions set by both universities. |

Key academic regulations
- Students who are interested are required to read and understand the curriculum and its associated rules. Changes to the curriculum are generally not permitted.
- The examinations listed must be taken and passed in the academic year specified in the curriculum, and not at a later date.
- During the mobility period, students will be subject to Renmin University's rules.
Information about the thesis
Detailed information about the procedures and timescales will be provided by each university in due course. For information:
- Students must comply with the procedures and deadlines set by both institutions for their dissertations.
- Students will complete their dissertation during the mobility period with the support of two supervisors: one from RUC and one from Luiss. Both supervisors must approve the dissertation proposal, which must meet the standards set by both institutions.
- Each institution will assess the final dissertation in line with its own criteria.

- Students selected for a Double Degree Programme are required to follow the curriculum set out for their year of mobility, including any changes – especially those relating to language courses and other academic activities.

Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be placed on the ranking list based on their academic record and the criteria set out in the table below. Academic records will be assessed based on the data available at the Student Administration Office by the deadline specified in the Call for Applications (usually mid-February).
