Educational information

  • Interested students are required to read the study plan and its rules. As a rule, changes to the study plan are not permitted
  • The exams listed in the study plan must be taken and passed before the start of the mobility year.
  • During the mobility period, students will be subject to the regulations of the University of Gothenburg

Information about the thesis

The two universities will provide detailed information on procedures and related deadlines throughout the Programme. For reference:

  • Students must follow the procedures and meet the deadlines set by both institutions when working on their thesis.
  • The thesis will be developed during the mobility period under the supervision of two supervisors, one from Luiss and one from the University of Gothenburg. The thesis project must be approved by both supervisors and meet the academic standards of both universities.
  • The thesis project is an individual piece of work.
  • Each university will assess the final thesis according to its own criteria.

In the second semester of the mobility year, students are required to attend thesis preparation courses at the University of Gothenburg. As the courses are delivered in person in Gothenburg, Luiss students will need to be at the partner institution to work on their thesis, participate in workshops, and present their paper.

Presenting the thesis, acting as a discussant (opposition) on another student's thesis, and submitting the final version of the thesis are mandatory requirements for obtaining the degree from the University of Gothenburg. The thesis presentation takes place in May, while the final paper is due to be submitted in June.
