Highlights
The program provides a significant and international preparation in the field of International Law, offering students the opportunity to choose one of the following specializations:
- Advanced Legal Studies;
- International Economic Law
- International Commercial Law;
- International Development Law & Human Rights;
- International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation.
It aims to recruit ambitious and motivated students, offering them the chance to learn in an exciting environment with world-class professors.
The program requires tuition payment.
In addition to tuition fees at Luiss, students must pay tuition fees at Warwick. Luiss students will benefit from a 10% discount, meaning they will be required to pay a fee of around ÂŁ23,000. Please note that tuition does not cover living expenses. Students must also consider additional costs for housing and meals.

Application Process
The Call for Applications will be published in early December 2025, and students will be able to apply starting January 8, 2026. Further information on the deadlines is provided in the table below. Details regarding the application process not available on this webpage will be provided in the 2026/27 Call for Applications, which will be uploaded to the “Useful documents” section at the bottom of this page.
Who can apply
Students enrolled in the fourth year of the single-cycle Master’s degree program in Law can apply to this program. Depending on their major, students can apply for:
- an LL.M. in Advanced Legal Studies open to students majoring in International Law, European Law, Law and Innovation, Criminal Law, Corporate and Tax Law, Business Law and Economics, Labor and Social Security Law, Civil Law, or Administrative Law;
- an LL.M. in International Economic Law open to students majoring in International Law;
- an LL.M. in International Commercial Law open to students majoring in International Law, Corporate and Tax Law, Business Law and Economics, or Civil Law;
- an LL.M. in International Development Law & Human Rights open to students majoring in International Law;
- an LL.M. in International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulation open to students majoring in Corporate and Tax Law, Business Law and Economics, or Civil Law.
Available spots
Each year, a total of 15 students can participate in the program.
Requirements
Candidates for this program should meet the following requirements:
- have a minimum average grade of 27/30 or higher;
- have earned at least 180 ECTS;
- English language – students must possess one of the following certifications:
- IELTS: minimum overall score of 7.0, with no more than two sections at 6.0 or 6.5 and the rest at 7.0 (online tests accepted);
- TOEFL: a minimum score of 100 on the iBT, with a minimum of 22 in Reading, 21 in Listening, 23 in Speaking, and 21 in Writing;
- Pearson Test of English PTE (Academic): minimum overall score of 70, with no component score below 51;
- Cambridge Advanced (CAE): minimum overall score of 190, with two components scoring at least 170 and two components scoring at least 190;
- Cambridge Proficiency (CPE): minimum overall score of 190, with two components scoring at least 170 and two components scoring at least 190.
Language certificates must not be older than two years from the start of the mobility period (August/September 2026). Applicants must meet the requirements with a single test.
Selection Procedure
Luiss University will select a shortlist of candidates based on a non-disputable evaluation of the student's academic profile and motivation. Further details about the selection process will be published along with the call.
Results will be communicated to Suffolk University, which reserves the right to make the final selection.
Selection Criteria
The selection process involves three steps:
| Step 1 | Eligible candidates will be ranked based on an analysis of their academic performance (credits 53%, internship credits 2%, weighted average grade 45%). |
| Step 2 | An interview will focus on the candidate's motivation, academic background, and previous international or professional experiences. |
| Step 3 | The partner universities, after analyzing the Luiss Commission ranking and the candidates’ applications, have the right to confirm the final ranking. |
