Presentation of the Programme | With a community of over 350 graduates from Italy and China built up over the years, the DDIM Programme offers the opportunity to spend a year at the Fudan School of Management, a leading business school in China and one of international excellence. Located in Shanghai – a global metropolis, financial hub, and one of the world's busiest ports – the School prepares students for high-level careers in management consulting, banking, luxury, and fashion. The programme also offers the opportunity to undertake internships in China. The Programme was established as part of the “Italian-Chinese Campus” project, promoted by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. |

Who can apply | The DDIM is an exciting programme open to students in their final year of a bachelor's degree, or to those who have already completed a bachelor's degree, who intend to enrol in a master's degree in Finance (major: Corporate Finance or Financial Markets) or in Management (major: International Management) at Luiss in 2027/2028. |
Fees and charges | Luiss students will pay their tuition fees to Luiss and are therefore exempt from paying fees at Fudan. |
Qualifications awarded | Upon completion of the programme, the following qualifications will be awarded:
To obtain the Double Degree, participants must comply with the regulations and conditions of both universities regarding credits, attendance, and deadlines. |

Academic rules
Interested students must read and understand the study plan and its rules. As a general rule, changes to the study plan are not permitted.
The exams listed in the curriculum must be taken and passed before the year of mobility.
During the mobility period, students will be subject to the regulations of the Fudan School of Management.
For courses taken at the Fudan School of Management:
- The total number of students who can achieve an "A" grade must not exceed 30% of the entire class.
- Only one retake is permitted for each course. The highest grade that can be achieved in a retake is "D-" on the Fudan scale (equivalent to 18/30 on the Luiss scale).
- To be awarded the Chinese qualification, only one grade of "D-" is accepted for the core courses.
The maximum duration of the DDIM Programme is 4 years.
To be eligible for a Fudan degree, candidates must have a weighted average (GPA) of at least 2.5 (equivalent to 26/30) for core courses when requesting to defend their thesis.
Guidelines for the thesis
Each university will provide detailed information about the regulations and deadlines in due course. For reference:
- Students will complete their dissertation during their second year at Fudan, working with two supervisors (one from each university) and a co-supervisor from Luiss.
- By the end of the first year, students may be assigned a supervisor from Fudan and will receive further information on the thesis procedure at that university.
Oral examination at Fudan:
- For students graduating in their second year: the oral defence will take place in person at FDSM in May, and they will graduate in July.
- For students who have delayed completing their degree:
- If the student is not in China, they will conduct the oral defence of their thesis online at Luiss, with Fudan faculty members connected remotely.
- If the student is in China, they will take part in the oral defence in person.
Oral defence at Luiss:
- The student will defend their thesis in person at Luiss during one of the available graduation sessions.
Graduating students may be selected for an anonymous assessment (blind evaluation) by an external Chinese lecturer.
Further information
- Students selected for a Double Degree programme are required to follow the curriculum established for their year of mobility, including any amendments, with particular regard to language courses and other academic activities.

Selection Criteria for the 2026/2027 academic year mobility programme
The following criteria apply to applications for the 2026–2027 mobility year.
- Stage 1: Eligible candidates will be placed on the ranking list following an assessment of their academic performance (weighted average 60%, English language proficiency 40%).
- Phase 2: The Academic Committee will draw up a ranking of suitable candidates and invite those admitted to the final selection for an interview. During the interview, the committee will assess candidates' motivations, their academic background, and their previous professional experience.
Following the interview and after assessing any additional documentation, the Committee reserves the right to amend the Phase 1 ranking and to exclude a candidate if they are not considered suitable for the programme.
