Virtual Internship & Employability Skills Course

Virtual Internship

An innovative five-week training opportunity for final-year students in all master’s and single-cycle degree programs.

The Virtual Internship is led by a team of five Luiss students, working closely with a Top Employer and a professor from our university.

This collaboration, which takes place over a series of five meetings, leads to innovative projects on vertical topics aimed at providing concrete solutions to companies’ challenges.

Like a curricular internship, participation in the Virtual Internship allows students to earn course credits.

Other Top Employers that took part in the latest Virtual Internship include: Alchimia, British American Tobacco, Comin & Partners, Studio Alonzo Committeri & Partners, Digital Angels, EY Luxembourg, Froneri, Grimaldi, Gruppo Industrie Riunite, Guardia Costiera, Henkel, Fondazione HOPE, Federpesca, Hyundai, Intesa Sanpaolo, IGT, Lyreco, Mutuiamo, NOESI, Orrick, ¬P&G, Poste Italiane, Q8, Studio Legale Tributario Melillo, and the World Fair Trade Organization.

Angelo Tozzi

ANGELO TOZZI MASTER
'S STUDENT - INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

“The Virtual Internship experience with MAECI was an opportunity to expand my knowledge in the social media field. I had the opportunity to gain insights from a different perspective, with the help and support of diplomats and experts in the field. Through ongoing discussions with them and among us students, we created a manual with guidelines for using social media, aimed at the entire diplomatic and consular network. This was a source of great satisfaction.”

MANAGEMENT – INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT

“For me, the Virtual Internship was an insightful and enjoyable experience. I learned a lot about the luxury apparel business, which was new to me since my major isn't in fashion and luxury management. The employer representative, Dario from Max Mara, and Professor Mazzu provided us with valuable guidance and suggestions for the project we were working on. It was enjoyable to have the weekly meeting with Dario and the team to offer consultancy on the business development model and the digital marketing strategy. Ultimately, the most important thing was that the team members were friendly and supportive of one another. I believe the Virtual Internship will be a great start for students as they embark on their career journey. Overall, it was a short but enjoyable internship!
Many thanks to Career Service for professionally arranging the Virtual Internship, and thank you for the opportunity!”

NICOLÒ MARTINO
ECONOMICS AND FINANCE – FINANCE

“I am very glad I had the opportunity to be part of the third virtual internship edition. Working closely with a private equity firm gave us a clear understanding of this competitive industry.
During the five weeks, we had the opportunity to directly contribute to the firm's business by mapping all the main PE competitors in Italy and selecting potential investment targets that met HLD criteria. The continuous feedback from the HLD team helped me improve both my hard and soft skills, making this experience a valuable asset for my future career.”
