Elections for the CNSU (National Council of University Students) and the DiSCo (Regional Council for the Right to Education and the Promotion of Knowledge)

Pursuant to Ministerial Order No. 42 of January 30, 2025, elections are called for May 14 and 15, 2025, to renew the National Council of University Students (C.N.S.U.), whose term expires on August 11, 2025.

On February 13, 2025, the DiSCo Authority announced elections for the Regional Council for the Right to Education and the Promotion of Knowledge (Article 10, paragraph 2 of Regional Law No. 6 of July 27, 2018). These elections will take place on May 14 and 15, 2025, concurrently with the CNSU elections at universities in the Lazio Region.

The voting process will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025, and from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on May 15, 2025, at:

• Viale Romania campus – Room 207: Students enrolled in the Bachelor's Degree programs in Economics and Political Science, as well as the Doctoral Programs in Politics, Economics, and Management
• Via Parenzo campus – Luiss Open Lounge: Students enrolled in the Law and Global Law degree programs, as well as the PhD program in Law and Business

1. CNSU:
   1. 28 members elected from among students enrolled in the 2024–2025 academic year in bachelor’s degree programs, master’s degree programs, single-cycle master’s degree programs, or degree programs under previous systems, in accordance with current regulations;
   2. 1 member elected from among those enrolled in specialization courses under the old and new systems, as outlined in Article 4, paragraph 1, of Law No. 341 of November 19, 1990, and Article 3 of Ministerial Decree No. 270 of October 22, 2004;
   3. 1 member elected from among those enrolled in doctoral research programs under the old and new systems, as outlined in Article 4 of Law No. 210 of July 3, 1998, and Ministerial Decree No. 226 of December 14, 2021;
       
2. DiSCo:
    
   1. 2 students elected from the student body of all non-state universities in the Region;
   2. 1 doctoral student elected by those enrolled in doctoral research programs at the region's universities;
   3. 1 student representative on the DiSCo Board of Directors

Please note that, pursuant to Article 3 of Ministerial Order 42 of January 30, 2025, the deadline for submitting candidacies for the members to be elected, as indicated in letters a), b), and c) of Article 1, paragraph 1, is April 7, 2025, by 1:00 p.m.

Candidacies for the election of members as outlined in Article 1, paragraph 1, letter a) of the Ministerial Order are submitted to the local electoral commissions specified in Article 7 of the same order. 
 

Candidacies for the election of the two members referred to in Article 1, paragraph 1, letters b) and c), along with the corresponding self-certifications, must be submitted to the Institutional Affairs and Governing Bodies Unit in sufficient time to allow their transmission to the Central Electoral Commission by the deadline of April 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

The lists of eligible voters and candidates are available for review every day, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Secretariat of Collegiate Bodies (Viale Pola – central building – 2nd floor).

How to vote

To vote, the voter must:

• mark the symbol and/or the box with the list name
• indicate any preference by writing – clearly and legibly – the NAME of ONE SINGLE candidate in the box next to the symbol and the name of the chosen list
• close the ballot by folding its edges, and return it to the polling station president
