Becoming a Board Member – Dubai Edition

Corporate governance simulation in the luxury sector | October 28–30, 2025 | Luiss Dubai Hub 

Luiss invites university students to apply for Becoming a Board Member – Dubai Edition, a three-day program offering an immersive experience to explore how a Board of Directors operates within the luxury sector. 

Through interactive lessons, simulations based on real cases, and work in thematic committees, participants will be guided in understanding the dynamics that govern strategic decisions at the highest corporate levels.

Set in the heart of the Luiss Hub in Dubai, the program serves as an international platform to delve into governance issues, ESG processes, and M&A operations, while developing key cross-cutting skills such as leadership, negotiation, conflict management, and decision-making. 

The program combines academic rigor with real-world application, thanks in part to the involvement of Luiss faculty, alumni working in the luxury sector, and representatives from major international groups.

Eligible applicants include:

• University students enrolled in the penultimate or final year of a three-year degree program

• Candidates with excellent English language skills (C1 level recommended, B2 minimum required)

• Students interested in corporate governance, business strategy, leadership, and the luxury industry

• Lectures and workshops on the theory and practice of corporate governance

• Realistic simulations covering ESG, reputational crises, strategic planning, and M&A transactions

• Participation in the Audit, ESG, and Nominations and Remuneration committees, with roles assigned to individual participants

• Masterclasses led by luxury brand experts, Luiss faculty, and alumni

• Awards ceremony for the best boards and committees

• Networking opportunities with alumni and mentors
