• Activity period: 1 week of training, with the schedule to be determined between June 22 and July 6. 2 weeks of project activities, which will be agreed upon with the partner and scheduled between July 6 and August 8, 2020.

Susan G. Komen Italia is a volunteer-based organization at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer nationwide. 
It was founded in 2000 in Rome as the first European affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Dallas.
The Association’s mission is to promote prevention, support women facing the disease, improve the quality of care, and strengthen clinical facilities.

Today, Komen Italia is active in four Italian regions (Lazio, Puglia, Emilia Romagna, and Lombardy Lombardy) and collaborates with a vast network of “friend” associations in over 100 cities across Italy. A network of 3,000 volunteers and numerous spokespersons support the organization with commitment and passion, including Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Rosanna Banfi, who are the patronesses of the Race for the Cure and Donne in Rosa.
