Re(e)sistenza
The action of the new, the reaction of the place

Opening on Thursday, April 12, at 6:30 PM – LUISS Campus, Via Parenzo

On Thursday, April 12, the LUISS campus in Via Parenzo will host the opening of the final exhibition in the contemporary art series “Re(e)sistenza: azione del nuovo, reazione del luogo,” sponsored by LUISS Cultural Activities.

The exhibition, curated by LUISS students participating in the third edition of the Art under 35 art workshop coordinated by gallery owner Carlo Maria Lolli Ghetti, features artist Daniele Sigalot.

The magnificence of Room 200 on the LUISS campus in Viale Romania—created by converting a majestic place of worship into a multipurpose hall—set the stage for the first exhibition of Re(e)sistenza: azione del nuovo, reazione del luogo. For the Cycle’s final exhibition, however, the LUISS campus complex in Via Parenzo provides a contrasting backdrop. The historic building, which dates back to the 1930s and was originally a workshop for the blind veterans of World War I, has been adapted over time to meet the university’s functional needs. While retaining its historical identity, it now houses the LUISS Department of Law.

The artist

Daniele Sigalot

His research centers on the ambiguity between the perception of the materials used and their true nature, making contrast a key to interpreting all of his works. The artist’s career centers on large-scale installations and unconventional mosaics.

External visitors must register for the opening day.

The exhibition is open to the public through June 15, 2018. Reservations can be made Monday through Friday:
