Procedure to follow upon return

1.  How to send the transcript of records to the International Experiences Management Office

After attending the previously recognized course abroad and taking and passing the related exam, the student must submit the corresponding certificate (containing all required information) to the International Experiences Management Office by October 30, 2020, directly from the university where the summer school was attended, in order to obtain final recognition of the exam.

It is crucial that there be no intermediary between the host university and the International Experiences Management Office when sending the document, which can be sent to riconoscimentosummerschool@luiss.it.

Certificates sent to riconoscimentosummerschool@luiss.it via dedicated online platforms provided by certain foreign universities (such as the London School of Economics) will also be accepted.

2.  Grade conversion

Upon receiving the certificate, the International Experiences Management Office will convert the grade and notify you via your university email.

The conversion tables are available on the 'Summer School' Intranet portal at the following link: http://intranet.luiss.it.

You can decline the conversion of grades below 30 by replying to the email within 72 hours of receiving it. After this period, if no objection is received, the grade will be considered accepted and forwarded to the Student Affairs Office for the course, credits, and grade to be recorded in the student’s academic record.

The conversion is final. If the conversion is not satisfactory, the only option is to decline recognition.

The conversion process may take about three weeks.

3.  Recording the course in the student’s academic record

Once the conversion process is complete, the International Experiences Management office will notify the Student Affairs Office of the grade. Registration typically takes place within a few business days.

Please note: Upon return, you cannot change the recognition obtained before departure.

If all the rules and conditions specified in the Regulations on the Recognition in 2020 of a Course Attended at a Summer School of a Foreign University are not met, it will not be possible to proceed with the registration of the exam in the student’s academic record.
