Double Degree in Management of Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment with NHH Norwegian School of Economics
Highlights
This Double Degree with NHH is an exciting two-year program taught entirely in English, designed for students currently enrolled in the first year of the Luiss master’s program in Strategic Management and its English-language tracks.
If students meet both Luiss and NHH’s academic requirements, they will earn the Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration (MScEBA) from NHH and the Master’s Degree in Strategic Management from Luiss.

Students selected for the Double Degree will be registered at Luiss during their time at NHH and will continue to pay tuition fees to Luiss. Students will be exempt from paying tuition at NHH. If participating students comply with both universities’ rules and conditions regarding required credits, attendance, deadlines, academic integrity, and other matters, they will receive two degrees, which will be issued according to each university’s procedures.

Students selected for a Double Degree program must adhere to the corresponding study plan. They must accept all the changes listed in the study plan, especially regarding languages and other activities.
Requirements (updated for the 2026-2027 mobility year)
Candidates for this program should meet the following requirements:
- Weighted average grade of 26/30 or higher;
- Having passed all exams in the first semester;
- A Bachelor's/Undergraduate degree with a minimum of 90 ECTS in Business Administration:
- A minimum of 30 ECTS must be in business administration;
- A maximum of 45 ECTS may be in methodological subjects, such as statistics or mathematics.
Please note that students who have completed their Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Management or in Economics and Business at Luiss are eligible to apply. All other students are kindly advised to check the eligibility of their Bachelor's Degree by the end of December by contacting International Degree Programs.
As for English, students must possess at least a C1 level (European Framework of Reference), demonstrated by one of the following certifications:
- TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 91/120
- IELTS: minimum score of 7.0
- Duolingo: minimum score of 130
- Cambridge: CPE, CAE, or FCE with a minimum grade of A
- Certificate issued by the Accademica Linguistica Trinity School in Rome
- Certificate issued by the Luiss University Language Center
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, taught entirely in English
- Bachelor’s degree taught entirely in English
Additional important rules
- Participation in this program will add additional points to the final grade of the master’s degree, as per Luiss rules.
- Students will only be able to participate if they have no pending administrative issues with Luiss.
- Exams passed at NHH will be transferred to Luiss as per the study plan. It is not possible to request an official waiver of grade registration.
- Please note that the earliest graduation session available at Luiss for students participating in this program will be the Fall session (October/November), as transcripts of records, including the thesis, will not be available until mid-August.
- Students selected for this Double Degree program are required to follow the study plan corresponding to their mobility year. This study plan will be provided in due course by the International Degree Programs office. Please note that study plans are reviewed annually, and changes may occur to reflect the academic offerings of both universities.
While every effort will be made to provide students with complete, accurate, and timely information, Luiss reserves the right to change, amend, modify, or revoke the aforementioned program.

Who can apply
The Call for Applications for the 2026-2027 mobility year is open to students enrolled in the 1st year of the Luiss Master's Degree in Strategic Management – tracks in English for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Each year, a total of 7 students can participate in the program.
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be ranked based on their academic performance score, which is currently calculated according to the following criteria:

| English language proficiency | 25% | To be calculated according to the 6 levels (from A1 to C2) of the CEFR standard |
